 Michele Jakub Founder/President
Michele is the President of Ridin' on Faith and the Founder/Director of Pure Country Paints. Her other full time ministries include being a mother and wife. Her background with horses has pretty much been her entire life.
Michele says, "I started Ridin' on Faith in 2003 and in 2008 the Lord loosened my grip and asked for the 'reins' of the ministry. In 2009 Ridin' on Faith Horse Ministry became non-profit and I am over flowing with great joy as I officially hand these 'reins' to the Lord (our CEO) and His Executive Board of Directors whom I am blessed to share this trail with. Thank you." |

Marv Jakub Vice President
Marv was born and raised on the same farm in which he now lives. He operated a grade A dairy until 2004 and continues to grow crops, hay, and raise calves. He also drives a school bus route for David City Public Schools. His background with horses was mainly through his brother as he always had the interest with them when they grew up together on the farm. Marv says "I always had the mechanical tendency, but I ended up with the wife who is horse crazy and his wife doesn't care anything about horses!"
About his decision to serve on the board for Ridin' on Faith: "It was easy to get involved from the beginning when Michele began Ridin' on Faith. Also, being a farmer equipped me with the skills to be 'chief executive maintenance officer'. It was fun exchanging idea's with Michele and brainstorming for what area of the farm we would use to build the arena, what type of fencing to use etc. Then when we decided to build, I was able to use my God given talents in engineering and erecting the building for the indoor arena. There is year round maintenance with FaithLodge, general upkeep, fences, gates, horse pens, hay to put up etc. I enjoy the challenge. I am a proud husband, wanting to see Michele's passion succeed." |

Daniel F. Schmid Treasurer
Dan is the Treasurer for Ridin' on Faith and works as a Pilot for United Airlines. His experience with horses came from his two daughters, who over the years, have participated in numerous 4-H horse shows. Dan says that his decision to serve on the Ridin' on Faith board was based on two things:"(1) I have come to know Marv and Michele Jakub over the last few years at various horse shows; during the past few years as close neighbors; during that time they have gained my complete trust. (2) The opportunity exists to answer any questions which may arise concerning our Lord, Jesus Christ." |

Frances W. Schmid Secretary
Fran servces as Secretary for Ridin' on Faith and works as a pharmacy technician for an animal supply company. Her first exposure to horses came about 14 years ago when her then, 8 year old daughter was begging for riding lessons and a horse. One thing lead to another, and now she and her husband are at home on a farm with 5 horses. Fran became interested in serving on the Ridin' on Faith board because: "Michele and I have been friends for years first through our daughters and horses, but now most importantly in our same Hope. Being a board member allows me an avenue to share this Hope with others and to support Michele Jakub and this ministry. Michele's
passion to extend this Hope and encouragement through horses to others is inspiring." |

Megan Boggs
Megan works as a library assistant at the Seward Memorial Library. She brings knowledge of marketing and technology as well as experience working with other non-profit organizations to Ridin' on Faith. Although her experience with horses is limited, she wanted to serve on the board because: "I believe strongly in the mission and vision of this exciting new ministry. The enthusiasm of Michele Jakub and others on the board is contagious." |
